When we moved here 18 months ago there were three feral cats, all female and all pregnant. A vet some 30 minutes away is happy to deal with these very wild cats and neutered them, sorry kitties. Since then another cat arrived with 8 kittens, one died, and mum disappeared, but an orphaned kitten took up residence. It took us 4 months to catch them all and get them neutered, 9 females and 3 toms. Once wild, they are all becoming much tamer and come into the house to eat. (Laundry room only) But Star, one of the original 3 (other two disappeared) is now a house cat. We went out this morning not noticing she was asleep on the chair, came back 2 hours later and she was still in situ as was the parrot on her perch out of cage. Star is adorable, they can be domesticated, it just takes time and patience.
