Great post! That was almost exactly my high school experience. I've been able to keep contact with people via Facebook, which is fun because I can control the amount of contact I have with them. I've been surprised to find many visiting and subscribing to my blog. Oh, how things have change.

Today, I'm proud to be a geek and a writer, and many who once laughed now admire my talents. I wouldn't change it.

The Internet site you mentioned also sends out blast emails with your name when you do updates. I hate that so I unsubscribed.

Even though I wasn't popular in high school and too shy to have friends, I went to my 30th reunion. It went better than I expected and I had a great time.

My high school look was on the geek side. I worked in the high school library all four years, played flute instead of sports, and even studied.
