It's comforting to hear that I'm not the only one who can kill or seriously harm rhubarb plants. I'm hoping my last attempt survives---I planted it 2 years ago and finally harvested enough for 1 loaf of rhubarb bread and one small pudding cake this year. I grow mostly in pots so I can attempt to keep out weeds---and keep everything away from our deer herd. Tomatoes, lettuce, kale, peppers, eggplant, chard, herbs---all in pots. Zucchini are tough---as long as the pot is big enough it should thrive.

So sorry about Mr L's accident. Fingers crossed no surgery. Ruth Nixon
